Indian actor, producer, screenwriter, and director Sujoy Ghosh primarily works in Hindi cinema. Sujoy Ghosh directed the films Aladin (2009), Kahaani (2012), Kahaani 2 (2016), Jhankaar Beats (2003), and Home Delivery: Aapko… Ghar Tak (2005)., as well as Badla (2019). In addition, he has written and directed a few short films, including Anukul (2017) and Ahalya (2015).

Sujoy Ghosh Childhood
Kolkata is where Sujoy Ghosh was born. He attended St. James’ School to study. When he was thirteen, he left his home in Bhowanipore and relocated to London. Sujoy finished his A Levels at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College. Sujoy Ghosh graduated from Manchester University with an MBA and a degree in engineering. Prior to leaving in 1999, he was the chief of Reuters’ media division for South Asia. Vaishali, a psychotherapist and business owner, is Sujoy’s wife. They are parents of two kids.
Sujoy Ghosh Career
In 2003, Ghosh made his feature film debut directing the low-budget tribute film Jhankaar Beats, which became an unexpected smash and paid homage to R. D. Burman. His subsequent endeavours, Aladin and Home Delivery, failed at the box office.
The film he directed in 2012, Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan in the title role, was a commercial and critical hit. His follow-up to Kahaani, Kahaani 2, was released in 2016. Sujoy Ghosh made his acting debut in a Rituparno Ghosh-directed movie in December 2012, playing Bengali investigator Byomkesh Bakshi.
Few people are aware that he wrote the catchphrase “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo Re” for the Kolkata Knight Riders of the IPL. Along with writing, producing, and directing short films, he has also worked on Ahalya (2015) and Anukul (2017).
