Rashid Ali is a singer, guitarist, musician, and composer. The popular song Kabhi Kabhi Aditi from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is what initially made him famous.
Rashid Ali Individual Life
His mother is a ghazal singer who studied with Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, while his father is a retired businessman. He was born in Hyderabad, India, and raised in London. Rashid has a multi-ethnic and varied musical sensibility. Although he received one year of basic rhythm guitar instruction, he taught himself all the skills necessary for lead guitar improvisation and lead guitar playing by listening to a wide variety of musical genres, especially jazz fusion, Spanish, and Latin music. He also has a natural aptitude to sing and has never taken voice instruction.
Rashid Ali Career
A R Rahman spotted Rashid Ali during a London concert. He was subsequently asked by A R Rahman to participate in the Unity of Light Concert, where he gave a jazz-infused rendition of “Ooh La La La”. Ever since, he has been a staple of A R Rahman’s performances. In 2002, he made his debut as an A R Rahman vocalist in Parthale Paravasam. Two of his songs from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na went on to become chartbusters, and he was nominated for best playback male vocal at the 2008/2009 Filmfare, Stardust, Star Screen, and Radio Mirchi Awards.

“Call Me Dil” and “Cry Cry” from Jhootha Hi Sahi are two of his latest hits. As a professional guitarist, he is frequently featured alongside Rahman in his film work. Notable collaborations include the steel string rhythm guitar featured in the song “Calling Me Dil” from Jhootha Hi Sahi, as well as his guitar playing and vocals in the song “Kabhi Kabhi Aditi” (which he also wrote the unique guitar line that opens the song).

With this album, Bollywood actress Tabu is making her music video debut. The video was taken from an Azerbaijani traditional folk song called Ayriliq, which translates to “Separation.” It was converted for Hindi.

On November 28, 2011, Rashid’s album “Call Me Rashid” was released by Artist Aloud, under the direction of Hungama Digital Media Ltd. The song’s samples may also be found on www.artistaloud.com and the official KM Musiq website. The album is currently available for download online, and the live performance from the launch has been made accessible on YouTube. The CD version of the album on T-Series will be available in Indian music stores by the end of February 2012. Together with Shreya Goshal and Timmy, he sang the song “Sun Lo Zara” for the February 2012 release of the movie “Ek Deewana Tha.”
He played with A R Rahman in Bhopal, India on November 1, 2012, to commemorate Madhya Pradesh’s founding. Rashid chose to base himself in Mumbai more in 2013 and recorded a love song for the soundtrack of another movie directed by A R Rahman called “Raanjhanaa” not long after coming to the country. The film, which was released on June 21, 2013, has his debut duet with Neeti Mohan, titled “Nazar Laaye”.
Rashid Ali wrote “Tu Hai (Autumn Love),” a special single featuring Neeti Mohan, and produced and played all the instruments after hearing how much people enjoyed the song “Nazar Laaye,” which featured both of their voices. In 2015, Rashid released his own explosive and intense instrumental piece, “Head to the Heart,” a fast-paced original jugalbandi between the acoustic guitar and the sitar, in collaboration with one of the most well-known sitarists, Niladri Kumar.
