Born on September 4, 1985, Jasmine Kaur Sandlas is an American playback singer, songwriter, performer, and television personality who specialises in singing Punjabi songs. Born in Jalandhar, India, and brought up in Stockton, California, Sandlas always wanted to become a singer. The 2008 smash song “Muskan” was Sandlas’ first single.

Her career as a Bollywood playback singer started in 2014 when she sang “Yaar Na Miley” for the movie Kick. “Yaar Na Miley” shot to the top of the charts and became viral shortly after its release.
Sandlas won multiple honours, including Screen Award for Best Female Playback and “Most Popular Song of Year 2016 – PTC Punjabi Film Awards,” for her vocals. She also garnered widespread critical acclaim. The “queen of Punjabi music industry” is how her peers refer to her.

A Punjabi Sikh Labana family welcomed Jasmine Kaur Sandlas into the world in 1985 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. At a young age, her mother took her to the stage to perform. What’s in a Name, her third album, was released on Sandlas’s personal YouTube channel in 2020. Hark and Intense produced the record. Diksha designed the illustration, and VFX Kalakaar animated it.
The Great Punjabi Experiment in 2021
Jasmine Sandlas launched the TGME experiment to see if her theories regarding the kind of music people enjoy were accurate or not. There were nine songs in all. While “Dil Tutteya” was the last song to be released, it was first released on March 8, 2021, and “Gaana challe ya na” on February 10, 2022.
2022
On her birthday, Jasmine Sandlas published the “Tini” EP, which featured four songs: “Yakeen,” “Kehnda Hi Nahi,” “Hava Vich,” and “Kehri Gali.” On November 7, Sandlas released a single titled “Jee Jeha Karda”.
2023
Featuring vocals by Gippy Grewal, “Jehri ve” was Jasmine’s debut project of the year. The song was released on January 30 and was taken from the film “mitraan da naa chalda”.
Jaani’s novel “Ittar” was published on March 7. The song was composed by B Praak. Jasmine’s influence on the music industry led to her induction into the Women Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.
