In Delhi, on December 16, 1986, Kaur was born into Savinder Singh Sohal’s family. Harshdeep Kaur comes from a musical family. Savinder Singh Sohal, her father, runs an instrument manufacturing company. She went to New Delhi’s Springdales School. She began studying music at the age of six in addition to her studies. She studied Western classical music under Delhi Music Theatre’s George Pullinkala and Indian classical music with Mr. Tejpal Singh, also referred to as the Singh Brothers. She later enrolled at the Delhi School of Music to study piano at the age of twelve in order to further her musical exploration.

In2003, Kaur emerged victorious in MTV’s Video Ga Ga singing competition. Harshdeep Kaur was the 2008 Junoon – Kuch Kar Dikhaane Ka winner. Under the tutelage of Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, she competed in the Sufi Ki Sultan category.

In 2013, she performed the lead song from the TV show Bani – Ishq Da Kalma. From 2011 to 2015, Kaur was the only vocalist to appear in all four seasons of Coke Studio (India). On the singing reality show The Voice India on StarPlus, Harshdeep Kaur rose to the rank of “Judge”. “Super Guru” A. R. Rahman joined her along with the other coaches, Adnan Sami, Kanika Kapoor, and Armaan Malik.

Harshdeep Kaur Individual Life

On March 20, 2015, Kaur wed Mankeet Singh, a childhood friend, in a conventional Sikh wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Hunar Singh, the couple’s first child, was born on March 2, 2021.
