Atif Aslam has sung in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto in addition to his native Urdu. The Pakistani government awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2008, which is the fourth-highest civilian honour. In addition, he has won multiple Lux Style Awards. In 2011, Aslam made his feature film debut in the Urdu social drama Bol. Atif Aslam received a star in the Dubai Walk of Fame in 2019 following his nomination as Pakistan’s finest singer.

Atif Aslam Childhood

In Wazirabad, Pakistan, on March 12, 1983, Atif Aslam was born into a Punjabi family . Prior to moving to Rawalpindi in 1991, he attended Kimberley Hall School in Lahore. From there, he attended St. Paul’s Cambridge School in Satellite Town to finish his education. Aslam went back to Lahore in 1995 and enrolled at a Divisional Public School and College (DPSC) branch to finish his education.

After completing his high school diploma at Fazaia Inter College in 1999–2001, he subsequently enrolled at PICS to work towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Aslam stated in an interview that during this time, he wanted to be a singer.

from 2004 to 2008
Aslam was formerly a part of the Jal group. Meri Kahani, Aslam’s second solo album, received a nomination for “Best Album” at the 7th Lux Style Awards. The album’s title was “nominated in the category of “Best Rock Song” at the 2009 MTV Music Awards.”[Reference required]

Atif Aslam recorded three renditions of Bakhuda Tumhi Ho and Pehli Nazar Mein from Race and Kismat Konnection, respectively, in 2008. He received an IIFA Award and shot to popular success in Bollywood thanks to Pehli Nazar Mein.

2009–2015: First-ever Indian/Pakistani film

Atif Aslam performed “Tu Jaane Na” and “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” in the 2009 movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, including remix versions of both songs, which earned him multiple nominations.

Atif Aslam recorded the songs “Tu Muhabbat Hai” and “Piya O Re Piya” for the movie Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya during this year. He recorded the songs “Mori Araj Suno” and “Bol Ke Lub Azaad Hain” for the Hollywood production The Reluctant Fundamentalist. In 2014, Main Rang Sharbaton Ka received a nomination for “Best Song” at the World Music Awards. “Main Rang Sharbaton Ka” garnered him numerous nominations and awards. In Pakistan, the films Zameen Jaagti Hai and Tu Khaas Hai were released. Atif Aslam recorded the songs “Tera Naam Doon” and “Nahi Woh Saamne” in 2014 for the motion picture Entertainment. The words for both songs were penned by Priya Panchal, while Sachin-Jigar provided the music.

From 2016 to 2020

Aslam collaborated with artist Arko Pravo on the smash hit song Tere Sang Yaara from Rustom, which peaked at number one on the “Bollywood Life” chart and earned Aslam a nomination for the “Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer”. In 2016, Atif collaborated with Mithoon on four renditions of Sayeed Qaudri’s song “Mar Jaayen” from Loveshhuda.

His performance in “Dil Dancer” from the film Actor in Law won him the Best Playback Singer LUX Award. Atif Aslam sang the Sahir Ali Bagga song “Yaariyaan” alongside Ali Zafar, which was released on Defence Day in 2016. Atif Aslam sung “Jal Pari” for the Huawei Honour 5X commercial and co-wrote the song “I’m Alive” with Maher Zain.

Aslam had originally recorded the song Kinna Sona for the movie Marjaavaan, but Indian artist Jubin Nautiyal had substituted the song at the last minute, causing controversy. The song was NFAK’s mix-and-match mixed cover, heavily influenced by Pakistani Sufi Islamic Qawwali music. The original Aslam cover was posted on YouTube by T-Series in June 2020. However, following a campaign filled with threats from right-wing Indian nationalist individuals and parties, including the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, the company was compelled to take down the video and promptly apologise.

“Woh Mere Bin” was released by Atif in 2020. Atif Aslam also performed the Zong commercial song “Aik Naya Khaab.”

2021 – Current
Atif released the song “Raat” on February 26, 2021. Munir Niazi wrote the poem for the song. “Chale To Kat Hi Jayega” was released on March 19, 2021, and in just three days, it garnered 14 million views as an homage to Musarrat Nazir. Atif’s unreleased song “Jee Len De” from Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), starring John Abraham, was made available by Times Music on May 26, 2021. On July 21, 2021, Atif released the song Rafta rafta .

In honour of the T-20 World Cup in 2021, Coke Studio released a new song titled “Cricket Khidaiye” featuring Faris Shafi and Talal Qureshi on October 24, 2021. Additionally, he revealed on his Instagram account that he will be performing in his first drama, “Sang-e-Mah,” this year. Trailers have already been posted.

Aslam made his stage debut at the LG Arena in Birmingham in April 2013. Atif Aslam then went on to become the first Asian musician to perform twice at London’s O2 Arena. Bollywood actors Shaan, Malaika Arora Khan, and Bipasha Basu performed live at the O2. Atif Aslam has performed in Bangladesh and Kenya due to his enormous fame and support base. Three times, including at the Malaysian Putrajaya International Convention Centre’s Shaam-e-Dostana performance, Atif Aslam shared the stage with Sonu Nigam.

Alongside Mahira Khan, another Pakistani actress, Aslam made his acting debut in the 2011 film Bol. In January 2022, he made his television debut on HUM TV with the Pakistani series Sang-e-Mah.

Atif Aslam Individual Life

On March 29, 2013, Atif wed Sara Bharwana, an educator, in Lahore. In San Francisco, California, they share three children: a girl and two sons.
