Ali Zafar PP, a Pakistani singer-songwriter, actor, model, producer, screenwriter, and painter (Urdu: علی افر), was born on May 18, 1980. Prior to being a well-known singer, he made his television debut in Pakistan. His career in Bollywood followed, and many Pakistani actors dabbled in Hindi cinema as a result of his popularity. In addition to being nominated for a Filmfare Award, he has won five Lux Style Awards.

Zafar began his career as a composer of music and rose to fame with the track “Channo” off his debut album Huqa Pani, which went on to sell more than five million copies globally. “Channo” proved to be an enormous hit, reaching the top of numerous music charts and winning him multiple accolades for Best Music Album and Artist.

On May 18, 1980, in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan , Ali Zafar was born into a Punjabi family. Mohammad Zafarullah and Kanwal Ameen, his parents, were faculty members at the University of Punjab. His two brothers are Zain and Danyal, the latter of whom is a commercial model with immediate aspirations to pursue a career in acting and singing. Zafar attended C.A.A. Public School for his early schooling. He holds degrees from the National College of Arts and the Government College of Lahore.

Zafar began his professional life in Lahore as a sketch artist at the Pearl Continental Hotel. Ali Zafar later started performing in television serials. He made his TV acting debut in the drama series Landa Bazar, Kanch Ke Par, and Kollege Jeans.

“Jugnuon Se Bhar De Aanchal” was sung by Zafar for the 2003 movie Shararat. Ali Zafar made his successful musical debut that same year with the release of the album Huqa Pani.
In the February 2016 release of Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive, the follow-up to his 2010 film Tere Bin Laden, Zafar had sung an item number “Six Pack Abs”. Lahore Se Aagey, a Pakistani film, also featured Zafar.

Zafar made his stage debut in the 2004 3rd Lux Style Awards ceremony, following his rise to fame. Ali Zafar performed on stage at the 4th Lux Style Awards the following year. After that, he performed a stage dance with Reema Khan during the 2007 ceremony, after having performed live for the 5th and 6th Lux Style Awards in 2006 and 2007, respectively. In 2008, he had also participated in the Oslo, Norway’s Mela Festival.
Ali Zafar began working with Coke Studio Pakistan in 2008, where he contributed three original songs to the show, including “Allah Hu,” “Daastan-e-Ishq,” and “Nahi Ray Nahi,” as well as one homage to Muhammad Juman, “Yaar Daddi Ishq,” in season one.

Ali Zafar Individual Life
On July 28, 2009, in Lahore, Pakistan, Zafar wed Ayesha Fazli, his longtime fiancée and a distant relative of Indian star Aamir Khan . In 2010, they had a son, and in 2015, they had a girl.
Director Umair Fazli, his brother-in-law, is best known for helming the 2016 film office hit Saya e Khuda e Zuljalal.

Meesha Shafi, a fellow singer, accused Ali Zafar of sexual harassment on Twitter on April 19, 2018. Ali Zafar vehemently refuted the accusation and declared he would file a lawsuit. In accordance with the Defamation Ordinance 2002, Ali Zafar filed a 1 billion rupee defamation case against Shafi on June 23, 2018, alleging that Shafi had caused “tremendous injury” to his “reputation, goodwill, livelihood” through “false, slanderous, and defamatory” allegations.
Ali Zafar complained to the FIA Cyber Crime Department, claiming that false accounts and accusations were used to conduct a social media campaign against him. He provided evidence of this claim. When Zafar brought attention to these accounts and Facebook sites on social media, many of them supporting Shafi were immediately taken down.
Meesha Shafi and eight other people were found guilty by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing on December 16, 2020, of launching a social media campaign that was intended to harm Ali Zafar’s reputation. The Supreme Court granted Meesha Shafi’s appeal against the dismissal of her case in January 2021 .
