Indian sport shooter Sift Kaur Samra was born on September 9, 2001. Sift Kaur Samra earned the gold medal in the women’s 50-meter rifle three positions event at the 2022 Asian Games, and she currently owns the world record in that event. Additionally, she competed for the squad that placed second in the Asian Games’ Women’s 50-meter rifle three-position competition.

In order to concentrate on photography, Sift left the GGS Medical College in Faridkot’s MBBS program. Sift Kaur Samra is presently enrolled in GNDU in Amritsar to pursue a Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports degree. Her cousin Sekhon, a shotgun shooter, introduced her to shooting. She experienced shooting at a Punjabi shooting range for the first time at the age of nine. Her parents are in the business of selling rice; they come from an agricultural background.

2023: Sift defeated Britain’s Seonaid McIntosh’s world record in September with a margin of 2.6 points.Samra defeated Qiongyue Zhang of China with a total score of 469.6 points, which included 154.6 in kneeling, 157.9 in prone, and 157.1 in standing elimination.

Sift Kaur Samra broke the world record and won the individual gold medal in the women’s 3P category at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Together with fellow colleagues Ashi Chouksey and Manini Kaushik, she also won the silver medal for the team.
Five medals were won by her in the Junior World Cup. 2022: At the National Games, she took home a gold medal. In the 50m rifle 3P, she made her ISSF World Cup debut with a bronze.
