Manipur-born Indian model, actress, and businesswoman Linthoingambi Laishram, also goes by Lin Laishram. She was seen by the Elite modelling agency in Mumbai, India, where she often participated in fashion shows such as India Fashion Week and New York Bridal Week. She has also appeared in print ads and television commercials in India and abroad.
Lin Laishram Career
Om Shanti Om was Lin Laishram’s first film appearance as an extra. She served as the brand ambassador for Ozoru Jewellery, a jewellery company located in New York. She competed for her state as a Miss North East representative, placing first runner-up in the 2008 Shillong competition. She later took part in the reality TV series Kingfisher Calendar Girl, where her exotic appearance and toned physique won over many fans. Additionally, she was the first Manipuri model to appear on national television with a swimsuit, a move that caused a great deal of controversy in her homeland.

Laishram was a print and fashion model who worked with numerous well-known photographers, stylists, and makeup artists while residing in New York.
While she was modelling in New York City, she attended the Stella Adler School of Acting. Returning to Bombay, she worked for three years as a theatrical professional with Rangbaaz, Pravah theatre Lab, and Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley. She continued to act, touring with the shows and appearing in renowned Bombay theatres like Prithvi Theatre and NCPA.

In the 2014 National award-winning film Mary Kom, which was directed by Omung Kumar and starred Priyanka Chopra, she portrayed the role of Bembem. She acted as a Nepali girl alongside Prateik Babbar in an independent film Umrika, directed by Prashant Nair, and in a short film directed by Kenny Basumatary. In the historical romantic drama Rangoon, which was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starred Kangana, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor Lin portrayed the role of Mema.
Laishram had his archery training at the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur, and at the Chandigarh Nationals in 1998, she won the Junior National Championship.
In March 2017, she launched her jewellery brand, Shamooo Sana. Laishram had a brief appearance in Hattrick as well. In the Vishal Bharadwaj film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, she had a little role.
