Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma (born Kapil Punj; April 2, 1981) is also an actor, producer, singer, dubbing artist, and television host. Sharma’s position as host of The Kapil Sharma Show has made him well-known. Among the many honours he has won are five Indian Television Academy Awards.

Parts of the additions were demolished by BMC on August 4, 2016, and company representatives claimed that Kapil Sharma had altered his premises and office inside without BMC’s legal consent.
When Sharma performed for the Pakistan Super League in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2018, he infuriated right-wing factions in India that opposed the notion of working with their neighbour.
