Javed Akhtar Childhood

1945 saw the birth of Javed Akhtar in Gwalior. Jan Nisar Akhtar, his father, was an Urdu poet and songwriter for Bollywood films. His great-great grandfather, Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi, was an Islamic religious teacher who led the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the colonies. His paternal grandpa, Muztar Khairabadi, and his grandfather’s older brother, Bismil Khairabadi, were both poets. Javed Akhtar’s first name was Jadoo, which he adopted from the line “Lamha, lamha kisi jadoo ka fasana hoga” from a poem his father had written. Since Javed was the closest term to jadoo, it was his official name given to him. Javed Akhtar was educated and lived in Lucknow for the majority of his youth.

Javed Akhtar career

screenwriting

The idea of using the same writer for the story, dialogue, and screenplay was not common in the 1970s, and the writers were not given credit in the titles. Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar are recognised for having their first opportunity to compose a screenplay when Rajesh Khanna offered them a role in Haathi Mere Saathi. In an interview, Javed Akhtar claimed that he went to Salimsaab one day and that Mr. Devar had given him a sizable signing bonus that would allow him to finish paying for his Aashirwad bungalow. However, the movie was a remake, and the original screenplay was far from ideal.
