Ira Trivedi Childhood And Schooling

Trivedi was born in India’s Lucknow. Author Kranti Trivedi is her grandma. Trivedi started her yoga practise while attending Wellesley College. Trivedi earned a degree in economics from Wellesley College in 2006.She graduated from Columbia University with an MBA.

Ira Trivedi Career

Trivedi wrote her debut fiction novel, What Would You Do To Save the World?: Confessions of a Could-Have-Been Beauty Queen, at the age of 19, based on her experience with the Miss India beauty pageant. A Deccan Herald book review referred to the book as “an entertaining first novel which reveals the dust behind the diamonds, the tears behind the plastic smiles, and dishes the dirt on what really goes on behind the scenes of a beauty pageant.”

Published in 2009, The Great Indian Love Story was characterised by The Hindu as “a concoction of love, sex, revenge, friendship, power and crime,” and “set in modern-day India where materialistic pleasures rule over emotions.” Later on, she put effort into turning the book into a movie.

Hundreds of people were there, including fathers escorting their daughters to protests and young ladies demonstrating in the streets. She released the novel Nikhil and Riya in 2017 in addition to a collection of short tales called Gumrah: 11 Short Teen Crime tales (2016), which was based on the television series Gumrah: End of Innocence . Ira Trivedi is the creator of the non-profit organisation Namami Yoga, the smartphone app Ira Yoga Wellness, and the online yoga studio Yog Love. Ira Trivedi has contributed to The Hindu, Outlook, Deccan Chronicle, The Telegraph, Times of India, and 31. Trivedi frequently addresses gender, women’s, and youth problems.
