On February 5, 1999, in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, Arshdeep Singh was born into a Punjabi Sikh household consisting of Darshan Singh and Baljit Kaur. As a member of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), his father served for more than 25 years and was stationed at Guna. Later, the family relocated to Kharar, which is close to Chandigarh. He began playing street cricket with the local youngsters and enrolled in Jaswant Rai’s Chandigarh cricket academy in 2015. Arshdeep was included in the Indian team’s November 2019 roster for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. He was included in the list of five net bowlers for India’s June 2021 visit of Sri Lanka. Arshdeep Singh was included in India’s starting lineup for their final two Twenty20 International (T20I) games of the tour after testing positive for COVID-19 in the Indian team. He was included in the Indian T20I team for their series against South Africa in May 2022. and was included in the T20I team for India’s two-match series against Ireland the following month.

Arshdeep committed to represent Kent County Cricket Club in up to five County Championship games during the English cricket season of 2023 in March of 2023.

He grabbed a wicket with his opening ball in the team’s first-ever encounter against Pakistan, finishing with 3/32 in his four overs. Arshdeep Singh had 10 wickets in six matches at a bowling average of 15.60 runs per wicket, making him the tournament’s top wicket-taker for India.

Arshdeep played his first One Day International (ODI) match in Auckland, New Zealand, in November 2022. During the tour, he participated in all three ODIs but failed to claim a wicket, while he did claim four in the two T20I games.
