Born on December 15, 1996, Akash Deep is an Indian cricket player. Akash Deep is an IPL player for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and plays domestic cricket for Bengal. On February 23, 2024, he played his first international test against England in the fourth match.
Akash Deep Individual Life
In Sasaram, Bihar, his father Ramji Singh was a government school teacher. His parents and neighbours in Bihar opposed him since he was more passionate about playing cricket than academics.
Akash Deep was one of the victims of the lack of a suitable platform for aspiring cricket players in Bihar to pursue their career aspirations at a time when the Bihar Cricket Association was banned.

Parents in Sasaram warned their kids not to hang out with Akash Deep since he was the only one who played cricket with a passion there. Some of those parents, however, were worried that their own kids might give up on school in the same way that Akash Deep did.
Akash Deep’s father reportedly desired for his son to take tests in order to help him get a government job, but Akash was more determined to pursue his cricket passion. His father encouraged him to study for the Bihar police constable exams or to at least apply for the Class IV staff peon position in the state government. But even though he was concentrating on his professional goals, as his father and older brother, he encountered obstacles.

In order to help him pay his daily expenditures, a close friend of his helped him join a cricket club in Durgapur. Akash Deep began playing tennis-ball contests in and around the Durgapur district, earning 600 Indian Rupees every day and roughly 20,000 per month.
In order to fulfil his ambition of being a cricket player, he joined a United Club in the CAB first tier league in 2010. Akash Deep started out as a front-line batter at a local academy, but as he grew taller over time, his coaches asked him to switch to fast bowling. Akash Deep was dealing with a potentially fatal back condition at the time, though, and Sourasish Lahiri, the head coach of Bengal U-23, seemed to be helping him out by overseeing his recuperation.

On March 9, 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Bengal during the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. On September 24, 2019, he made his List A debut for Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for 2019–20. Deep was added to the Royal Challengers Bangalore roster for the second round of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates on August 30, 2021. The Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired him at the Indian Premier League 2022 auction in February of that year. Prior to getting called up for tests, he claimed eleven scalps in two tour matches for India A against the England Lions, including two four-wicket hauls.
Injured Shivam Mavi was replaced by international player Akash Deep in India’s Asian Games roster for 2022. Akash Deep was added to India’s ODI team for the South Africa series in November 2023 as an injury substitute for Deepak Chahar, but he did not participate in any of the games.
Akash Deep was called up for the first time to play in the final three Tests of the home test series against England in February 2024. While he was playing for Bengal in the 2023–24 Ranji Trophy, he got the news of his test call-up.
