Indian international cricket player Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on December 28, 2001, and he represents the Indian cricket team. In July 2023, he made his debut for his country against the West Indies in the opening Test match, where he scored a century in his opening innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is a member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai. Jaiswal became the youngest cricket player to record a double century in List A cricket in 2019 , and he led India’s under-19 team in runs scored during the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

On December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, Jaiswal was born as the fourth of six children to Bhupendra Jaiswal, a hardware store owner, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a homemaker. Yashasvi Jaiswal relocated to Mumbai when he was ten years old in order to train at Azad Maidan for cricket. He was first allowed to live in a dairy shop in exchange for his labour, but the owner had him removed because he could not come in on a regular basis. Consequentlyly, he made ends meet by selling panipuri while living in a tent at the Maidan with the groundskeepers.

Three years of living in tents later, Jaiswal’s talent for cricket was discovered in December 2013 by Santacruz-based cricket coach Jwala Singh. Before taking on the role of Jaisawal’s legal guardian and getting his power of attorney, he gave him a place to reside .

Jaiswal first gained notoriety in 2015 when he set an all-time record for Indian school cricket by scoring 319 runs without conceding an end and taking 13/99 in a Giles Shield match. Yashasvi Jaiswal was picked for the Mumbai under-16 team and subsequently the Indian cricket team’s under-19 squad. When India won the 2018 Under-19 Asia Cup, Jaiswal was the top scorer (318 runs) and player of the competition.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made 294 runs in seven games later that year in the England under-19 tri-series, including four half-centuries. Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal was added to India’s 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad in December 2019. Jaiswal scored the most runs during the competition, which included a century against the Pakistan under-19 team in the semifinal.

On January 7, 2019 , Jaiswal made his Mumbai team’s first-class debut in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. On September 28, 2019, he made his List A debut in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In a Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter against Jharkhand on October 16, 2019, he hit 203 runs off of 154 balls, making history as the youngest double centurion in List A cricket history at the age of 17 years, 292 days. 12 sixes and 17 fours were hit throughout his inning . and finished among the top five scorers in the competition with a batting average of 112.80 after amassing 564 runs in six games. He was acquired by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 Indian Premier League , and on September 22, 2020, he made his Twenty20 cricket debut for the team. On October 2, 2021, he scored his first T20 half-century against Chennai Super Kings, which at the time was the second-fastest in franchise history . On April 30, 2023, he scored his first T20 century against Mumbai Indians, amassing 124 off 62 balls.
In an IPL match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 11, 2023, he achieved the fastest half-century in the history of the league in just 13 balls, breaking the previous mark shared by Pat Cummins and KL Rahul. With 625 runs in 14 games, he was Rajasthan’s top run scorer at the end of the 2023 Indian Premier League.

Jaiswal was called up for the first time to the Indian Test cricket team in June 2023 for the West Indies series. In the opening Test of the series, he made his debut, amassing a century and opening the batting with 171 runs. He was named Player of the Match for his contributions to their victory. In August 2023, he made his T20I debut against the West Indies in the third game of the T20I series.
Jaiswal and Shubman Gill shared an opening partnership of 165 runs in the fourth match of the series, during which he hit his first T20I half-century (84* off 51 balls).
