On December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, Jaiswal was born as the fourth of six children to Bhupendra Jaiswal, a hardware store owner, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a homemaker. On October 2, 2021, he scored his first T20 half-century against Chennai Super Kings, which at the time was the second-fastest in franchise history . On April 30, 2023, he scored his first T20 century against Mumbai Indians, amassing 124 off 62 balls.

In an IPL match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 11, 2023, he achieved the fastest half-century in the history of the league in just 13 balls, breaking the previous mark shared by Pat Cummins and KL Rahul.
