Indian actress Wamiqa Gabbi was born on September 29, 1993, and she has acted in Hindi and Punjabi movies. Wamiqa Gabbi had a little role in the Hindi film Jab We Met (2007) when she made her on-screen debut.

Wamiqa Gabbi dances Kathak professionally. Her breakthrough performance was in the Punjabi movie Tu Mera 22 Mai Tera 22, starring Yo Yo Honey Singh and Amrinder Gill. She went on to co-star with actor Diljit Dosanjh in two more Punjabi movies, Ishq Brandy and Ishq Haazir Hai.
Tanisha, in Sixteen, was the first female main role she played. In the Telugu film Bhale Manchi Roju, she played the female lead title role.

Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam (2016) is a Tamil film in which Gabbi played the lead female role. Wamiqa Gabbi costarred with Tovino Thomas as the female lead in the Malayalam movie Godha. In March 2017, Wamiqa landed a role in Ashwin Saravanan’s upcoming Tamil movie Iravaakaalam, which also starred Sshivada and S. J. Surya. In the film 9, Wamiqa portrayed the lead role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mamta Mohandas.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s short film Fursat, which debuted in early 2023, had Wamiqa as the female lead opposite Ishaan Khattar. She was chosen for the role of Khufiya by Bharadwaj, which debuted on Netflix in October of the same year. In the April 2023 release of the Amazon original series Jubilee, she also portrayed Niloufer.
