Indian actress Sriti Jha was born on February 26, 1986, and her main medium of employment is Hindi television. Jha was born in Begusarai, Bihar, India, on February 26, 1986. Sriti Jha travelled to Kolkata to live with her family, and after ten years there, they relocated to Kathmandu, Nepal. In the 2007 Disney India teen drama Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, Jha made her on-screen debut as Malini Sharma. Sriti Jha subsequently appeared in Jiya Jale, as Sunaina Kotak. Alongside Saroj Khan, Jha took part in the dancing reality show Nachle Ve. Sriti Jha portrayed Suhani in Shaurya Aur Suhani on StarPlus in 2009. Her breakthrough role was as Jyoti on NDTV Imagine, where she played the split personality patient Sudha Sharma.
Sriti Jha portrayed domestic abuse victim Jhanvi Dobriyal in Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava? in 2011. She portrayed Ganga in Colours TV’s Balika Vadhu in 2013. After starring opposite Shabir Ahluwalia as Pragya Mehra in Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya, Jha garnered more critical accolades and praise. At the 2020 Kommune India Spoken Fest in January 2021, Jha performed a poem titled “Confessions Of An Asexual Romantic” in which she discussed what it could be like to be an asexual and how there isn’t much freedom in India to talk about one’s sexuality.
Sriti Jha made it clear in an interview that the poem isn’t about her and that she is not an asexual.In Sriti Jha also read two more poems, “Choodiyaan” (about a gay man) and “Chaabi Gum Gai Hai” (about a lesbian woman), which both discuss the issues that people with diverse sexual inclinations encounter. Sriti Jha mentions in “It’s Pehla Pyaar Every Time” that each time we fall in love, it feels like the first time.

Her other pieces, such “To Like? Or To Love?” draw a distinction between like and loving, emphasising how liking has no restrictions but love has. Jha’s first open letter, “A Letter To Myself,” discusses what she would have liked to have told her 15-year-old self at the time and emphasises the importance of never compromising.In Jha challenges prejudices, encourages women to be unconditioned, boldly pursue their aspirations, and declares, “Ab Samjhauta Nahin” in this partnership with ITC Vivel. Additionally, she read aloud as the narrator of a poem titled “Cheesy Stupid Ishq” the day before Valentine’s Day in 2021.
