Shubhangi Atre is an Indian television actress who was born on April 11, 1981. Atre made her acting debut as Palchinn Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay. After starring as Kasturi, the main character in Kapoor’s Kasturi (2007–09), Preeti in the Indian drama series Do Hanson Ka Jodaa (2009–2010), and Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in the Hindi sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (2016–present), which is one of the longest-running Indian comedy sitcoms, she went on to receive numerous accolades and awards.

To be honest, I had three offers at that point: Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! and two brand-new series. Even my ever-supportive husband thought I shouldn’t be taking up a show where I was taking someone else’s place. However, I adored it when I used to watch it. It was a comedy with explicit stuff that wasn’t vulgar, and I think it changed the game.
