Shenaz Treasurywala was discovered by a photographer during her first year of college, and the soft drink Gold Spot was the target of her first modelling job. Prior to being employed by MTV Networks Asia as a VJ for the MTV Most Wanted programme, she also worked as an advertising copywriter for Philips and Akai.

Her first acting role was in the Telugu movie Eduruleni Manishi from 2001. Shenaz Treasurywala then starred in the Bollywood film Ishq Vishk from 2003, which nominated her for a Filmfare Film Awards best supporting actress award. has a lifetime passion for travelling, and she has written travel pieces for magazines like Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Femina. Shenaz Treasurywala was cast in a recurring role on the American soap opera One Life to Live in 2011 as Rama Patel. The letter addressed women’s safety in India.

Shenaz Treasurywala was raised in a Parsi household and her father works as a merchant marine engineer . Treasurywala attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, where she also attended school . Shenaz Treasurywala relocated to New York City in 2001, where she enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to study method acting. Shenaz Treasurywala also enrolled in an NYU writing course while she was in New York.
