Actress Rupali Ganguly was born in India on April 5, 1977. Rupali Ganguly began her acting career as a young child, making her screen debut in Saaheb (1985), directed by her father, Anil Ganguly.
As a teenager, Ganguly made cameos in the poorly received films Angaara (1996) and Do Ankhen Barah Hath (1997) before making her television debut as the medical intern Dr. Simran Chopra in the Star Plus medical drama series Sanjivani (2002). This was the turning point in Ganguly’s career. She gained more notoriety when she played Monisha (née Manisha) Singh Sarabhai in the 2004 cult comedy Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. She took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 2, a stunt-based reality series on Colours TV, in 2009. In 2008, Rupali Ganguly also provided voiceovers for the animated feature Dashavatar.
