Richa Pallod Individual Life

In 2011, she tied the knot with Himansu Bajaj, and their son was born in 2013.

Richa Pallod Employment

As a young performer, Richa Pallod made her screen debut in the 1991 film Lamhe and the 1997 film Pardes. At the age of sixteen, she began modelling, and since then, she has been in more than 500 advertisements and the music videos for “Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi” and “Piya Se Mil Ke Aaye Nain” by Falguni Pathak. Richa debuted in a Telugu movie called Nuvve Kavali (2000), starring alongside Tarun, with whom she had previously been in a Rajiv Menon commercial.

Richa “did not seem like a debutant” in the movie, which depicted the love between two childhood friends in college. The movie was a major commercial success and received positive reviews. Richa Pallod was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Actress-Telugu for her role in the movie.

In Shajahan, she debuted in Tamil movie opposite Vijay in the lead role. Critics gave the movie positive reviews, however Richa’s performance was thought to have “done little good”. Alli Arjuna, her second Tamil film, starred Manoj Bharathiraja and was helmed by renowned director Saran. Reviewers commented that “you do not feel for Richa” when Richa portrayed an independent female being chased romantically by Manoj. Richa’s performance was met with negative reviews.

Her first leading role in a Hindi movie was in Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein, which was a critical and financial disaster and starred Fardeen Khan. Richa asserted that the lacklustre reception the movie received could have been caused by the project’s lack of promotion. Her subsequent Hindi films over the next two years were low-budget productions that did not perform well at the box office, including two that she performed with actor Rakesh Bapat.

Similar to this, Richa’s commercial failures occurred with her Kannada ventures Cheppale and Jootata, which starred Sameer Dattani. Richa’s acting in the latter film was criticised by critics. Later, Richa played Sweety in the Yash Raj Films film Neal ‘n’ Nikki, which starred Tanishaa Mukerji and Uday Chopra. Richa made an appearance in Unakkum Enakkum (2006) in a supporting role following the failure of several of her prior endeavours.

Richa continued by asserting that inadequate publicity and insufficient support caused her to vanish from the movie industry. Richa Pallod eventually made a comeback in 2009, making her debut in a Malayalam movie with Mammootty in the flick Daddy Cool. Richa Pallod received critical acclaim for her performance as eight-year-old Annie Simon, and the movie was a box office hit. Richa Pallod costarred with Raja and Manjari Phadnis in the Telugu movie Inkosaari in 2010.

However, because Ye Maaya Chesaave, a successful movie that attracted more spectators, was released alongside it, the film did not succeed commercially. In the latter part of her career as a lead actress, Richa was involved in the production of two unreleased Tamil films with modest budgets: Nalvaravu and Kadhal Kalvan. Richa Pallod was selected in 2011 to perform in the Hindi dubbing of the Hollywood film X-Men: First Class, which was dubbed in Hindi and aired in theatres soon after its North American premiere. She portrayed Rose Byrne’s character, Moira MacTaggert.

After being married, Richa took a few years off from performing until making an appearance in the supporting cast of Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka / Malupu (2015).
