Pooja Bedi is an Indian actress, talk show host on television, and newspaper writer who was born on May 11, 1970. Pooja Bedi is the daughter of Protima and Kabir Bedi, two Indian actresses.

Pooja Bedi was born on May 11, 1970 in Bombay, which is now Mumbai. Her parents are actor Kabir Bedi and the late Indian classical dancer Protima Bedi. Her father’s side of the family is Punjabi Sikh and British, while her mother’s side is Bengali and Haryanvi. Pooja Bedi describes her upbringing as having occurred in a “bohemian progressive artistic environment”.

In 1990, Bedi met and married Gujarati Muslim Farhan Furniturewala, who was of Parsi and Khoja heritage. On May 6, 1994, they were married.
