Indian actress Palomi Ghosh is most recognised for her roles in English, Hindi, and Konkani cinema. Her Konkani musical drama Nachom-ia Kumpasar won the National Film Award – Special Mention (feature film).
Palomi Ghosh Childhood
Palomi Ghosh has West Bengali ancestry and was born in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. She was born and raised in the United States. Palomi Ghosh studied applied mathematics at North Carolina State University. After relocating to Mumbai, she enrolled in Anupam Kher’s acting school and began her career in theatre. She starred in TV commercials for Sunfeast, Tanishq, SBI Life, Stayfree, and Muthoot Finance during this period.

Ghosh debuted in the Australian film The Waiting City in 2009. She starred in Gandhi of the Month (2014), an experimental film. Her subsequent release, Nachom-ia Kumpasar (2014), was well received by critics and was modelled after the goan vocalists Chris Perry and Lorna Cordeiro .
At the 62nd National Film Awards, she was given the National Film Award-Special Mention (feature film). The movie went on to become the most awarded Konkani film, taking home 24 international, 3 national, and 10 state accolades. She later made an appearance in the 2015 sci-fi series Sense8 on Netflix.
