On January 11, 1991, in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, she was born. Her early schooling was finished in the Bhavnagar, Gujarat-based Amar Jyoti Saraswati International School. Niyati Fatnani performs Kathak dance professionally as well. Barkha Fatnani is the younger sister of Fatnani.

In 2016 Fatnani debuted as an actress in D4 – Get Up and Dance, costarring with Utkarsh Gupta as Niharika “Baby” Sinha. Niyati Fatnani costarred with Eijaz Khan as Dharmavidya Raidhan Katara, Arundhati, and Mukhiyani in Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey in 2017.
The role Fatnani played as Piya Sharma Rathod in Nazar, alongside Harsh Rajput, from 2018 to 2020 proved to be a significant turning point in her career.
Additionally, in the 2021 telefilm Ankahee Dastaan, she portrayed Piya. In Channa Mereya (2022), Fatnani played Ginni Garewal Singh alongside Karan Wahi. Niyati Fatnani portrayed Asmita Roy in Disney+ Hotstar’s Dear Ishq in 2023, starring Sehban Azim.
