Nivetha Thomas Childhood

On November 2, 1995, Nivetha was born in Madras, India (now Chennai). Her roots are in the Keralan village of Edoor, in the Iritty taluk. She attended the Chennai-based Holy Angels and Montfort Matriculation Schools. She studied at SRM University for a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She is fluent in six languages, including English, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.

Early professional life and movie debut

Nivetha made her acting debut as a young girl in the hit Sun TV series My Dear Bootham. Following that, she portrayed Jayaram’s daughter in Veruthe Oru Bharya, receiving praise for her portrayal. After that, she signed a few Malayalam and Tamil movies, most of which were supporting parts.

Two of her Malayalam projects were Thattathin Marayathu (which Sify claimed would be “the biggest box-office hit in the history of Malayalam cinema”) and Chaappa Kurish. She played Tamizhselvi, a worker at a petrol bunk, in the Samuthirakani-directed Tamil movie Poraali (2011) She and Samuthirakani had previously worked together on the drama series Arasi.

Nivetha starred in Romans in 2013, which Sify.com called a “blockbuster” due to its great success. She portrayed the lead female character of Jaishree, an aspiring singer, in the Tamil contemporary fantasy comedy Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham. She portrayed Mahalakshmi in Jilla, a character who is very close to her father, Mohanlal, and her two brothers, Vijay and Mahath.

She won multiple awards for the role, including the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut (Telugu) at the 6th South Indian International Movie Awards and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu Nomination at the 64th Filmfare Awards South. Her second Telugu film release of 2017 was the romantic entertainer Ninnu Kori, which starred Nani once more.
