Prior to pursing a career in acting, she began her career as an anchor on the Malayalam television station Asianet. Actor Fahadh Faasil of Malayalam films revealed to the press in January 2014 that he was getting married to Nazriya. While filming Bangalore Days (2014) with Anjali Menon, in which they portrayed a married couple, the couple got to know one another better. Before being married in Thiruvananthapuram on August 21, 2014, the couple got engaged in February of that same year.
