It was alleged that she had attempted suicide while the movie was being made. Mirnaa Menon said that Selvakannan, the film’s director, had harassed and abused her, and that after receiving no help from the police or the film industry, she decided to end her life. Following her departure from that production, she went by Adhiti Menon and was cast in the late-2016 Tamil film Pattathaari, which made her cinematic debut. Her performance earned her praise even though the movie received unfavourable reviews at first; The Times of India wrote that “Adhiti is expressive and is a promising find.”
Mirnaa Menon agreed to be a part of Ameer’s Santhana Devan even before Pattathaari was released. Originally slated to be a period piece centred around Jallikattu and starring Arya and his brother Sathya, principal photography began in early 2017; Mirnaa also contributed significantly to the majority of the film’s production; however, the project has been stuck in production hell, and while rumours of a new development surfaced by 2021, the movie has not yet been released.
The Tamil comedy Kalavani Mappillai was her next release. Gandhi, the son of director Manivasagam, made his directorial debut with the movie, which also starred Attakathi Dinesh and Mirnaa. Anupama Subramanian of Deccan Chronicle wrote that Mirnaa “looks pretty and has given a decent performance” in her article on her.
Mirnaa Menon changed her name once more by the middle of 2020, becoming Mirnaa. She made her screen debuts in Big Brother, starring Mohanlal, and Aadi Saikumar’s Crazy Fellow (2022), respectively, in Malayalam and Telugu. Siddique’s last picture, Big Brother, which Mirnaa laboured on for about a hundred days, was a critical and financial disaster. The New Indian Express critic commented that Mirnaa “impresses with her realistic portrayal” of Crazy Fellow. Ugram by Allari Naresh was her debut release in 2023.
In the movie, she portrayed a 20-year-old college student who is also a mother to a 3-year-old child.[Reference required] Then, in KM Sarjun’s Burqa, Mirnaa played a young Muslim widow who was observing iddah. Both she and her Burqa co-star Kalaiyarasan received praise for their roles. She made an appearance in the Nelson-directed film Jailer, starring Rajinikanth, later that year in a minor capacity. Her largest effort to date, Jailer, starred her as Rajinikanth’s daughter-in-law. It received favourable reviews from critics and went on to become one of the highest grossing films in Tamil history.
