Indian actress Kriti Sanon was born on July 27, 1990, and she primarily works in Telugu and Hindi films. Kriti Sanon has been recognised with two Filmfare Awards, a National Film Award, and a spot in Forbes India’s 2019 Celebrity 100 list.

Sanon temporarily worked as a fashion model after graduating from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology with a degree in engineering. Her first acting roles were as the lead in the 2014 action films Heropanti and Nenokkadine. Kriti Sanon won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for the latter. Her career took off when she landed leading parts in the critically acclaimed romantic comedies Luka Chuppi (2019) and Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017). Her highest-grossing films are the ensemble comedies Dilwale (2015) and Housefull 4 (2019).

For her performance as a surrogate mother in the comedy-drama Mimi (2021), Sanon was honoured with both the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Rahul Sanon, a chartered accountant, and Geeta Sanon, a physics professor at the University of Delhi, welcomed Sanon into the world on July 27, 1990 in New Delhi.  Her family is Hindu and from Punjab. After attending Delhi Public School in R. K. Puram, she went on to the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida to earn a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Initial work, 2014–2020

After a year away from the cinema, Sanon returned to work with producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films for his first of many films, the 2017 film Raabta, which starred her and Sushant Singh Rajput as star-crossed lovers. The movie was a commercial failure.

In 2019, Vijan had Sanon involved in two of his productions. After making a cameo in the forgettable comedy Arjun Patiala, Sanon costarred with Akshay Kumar as a leading lady in the reincarnation comedy Housefull 4, the fourth installment of the Housefull franchise. Housefull 4 was one of the year’s highest grossing films, taking in approximately ₹2.8 billion (US$35 million), despite receiving negative reviews. Sanon had her last appearance of the year in Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical drama Panipat, which was based on the Third Battle of Panipat and became a box office hit. In the film, she played Parvatibai opposite Arjun Kapoor’s Sadashivrao Bhau.
