Sanon temporarily worked as a fashion model after graduating from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology with a degree in engineering. Rahul Sanon, a chartered accountant, and Geeta Sanon, a physics professor at the University of Delhi, welcomed Sanon into the world on July 27, 1990 in New Delhi. Her family is Hindu and from Punjab.
