Actress and model Hrishitaa Bhatt, whose name is sometimes spelt Hrishita Bhat, was born in India on May 10, 1981. Hrishitaa Bhatt Childhood

On Sunday, May 10, 1981, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Hrishitaa Bhatt was born. After completing her studies at Trinity College in London, she studied jazz under choreographer Shiamak Davar. Hrishitaa Bhatt starred in the 1999 Liril advertising campaign and the music videos for Dil-Kisi Pe Jab Aa Jaye by Sonali Vajpayee and Aankhon Me Tera Hi Chehra by Aryans with Shahid Kapoor.

2001–2002: Debut

Bhatt made her screen debut as Devi, the wife of Mauryan emperor Ashoka, portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, in the epic historical drama film Asoka (2001). Hrishitaa Bhatt received nominations for the Screen Weekly Awards’ “Most Promising Female Newcomer” and the Zed Cine Awards’ “Best Female Debut” categories.

Her next film was the multi-starrer Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002), in which she plays Jojo, a young, self-assured lady who wants Jimmy Shergill’s character, Hrithik Mittal, to get out from his father’s shadow and become self-sufficient. Rakesh Budhu of Planet Bollywood comments on the part, saying that “she continues to show confidence as an actress excellently despite her small role.”

In the comedy-drama Shararat (2002), Bhatt costarred with Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. She portrays Neha Sengupta, a community service advisor who suggests community work to Rahul, played by Bachchan, as a form of discipline.

From 2003 to 2009

During this time, Bhatt appeared in about twenty-five films in the Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada languages. Haasil (2003), Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), and Charas: A Joint Operation (2004) are a few of her noteworthy motion pictures. Rediff’s Kanchana Suggu appreciated Bhatt’s portrayal of Niharika in the critically acclaimed film Haasil, stating that “Bhatt as the coy yet strong, quiet yet confident girl is worth a special mention”. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama states that Bhatt doesn’t “get ample scope, but leaves a mark nonetheless” in his review of Ab Tak Chappan.

Hrishitaa Bhatt made her feature debut in Bengali cinema in 2007’s Bidhaatar Lekha alongside Jeet and Priyanshu Chatterjee. Her 2007 film Dharm, which was officially entered into the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, was directed by Bhavna Talwar, a debutante. Hrishitaa Bhatt costarred alongside Shakti Kapoor in the 2008 music video for “Daaku Daddy” by IshQ Bector. Kisna: The Warrior Poet (2005), Page 3 (2006), Heyy Baby (2007), and My Name is Anthony Gonsalves (2008) were among the films in which she had cameos.

2010–2014

During this time, she was released on a few occasions. Bhatt ventured into the world of regional cinema with the 2010 Marathi film Mani Mangalsutra, and she portrayed Sohini in the well-liked Bengali film Mrs. Sen (2013). Hrishitaa Bhatt starred as Pramila in the Hindi films Idiots Box (2010), Ammaa Ki Boli (2012), and Ritu in Anuradha (2014). Hrishitaa Bhatt made her production debut in 2011 with the comedy-drama Shakal Pe Mat Ja. Film producer and businessman Madan Paliwal arranged for her and Vidya Malvade to perform a classical dance in Chittorgarh in 2014 in honour of Ram Navami.

from 2015 to the present

Hrishitaa Bhatt starred in the 2015 film Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho as Maya, a young village wife who has a crucial position. She had also begun working on Bengali, Punjabi, and Marathi films by this point. She was the main guest at the Federation of Indian Associations-Chicago’s (FIA) 2015 India Independence Day celebrations. Four other films were released in the year: Tarfid (Persian), Namaste (Nepali), Dhol Taashe (Marathi), and Ishq Vich: You Never Know (Punjabi).

In the Vivek Agnihotri film Junooniyat (2016), she costarred alongside Yami Gautam and Pulkit Samrat as a young, educated Bengali widow named Mishti who is mourning the death of her Army spouse. In addition to acting in Hiten Paintal, Hemant Pandey, and Rana Jung Bahadur’s action drama 30 Minutes, Bhatt had a cameo appearance in the film Shorgul. She participated in the 2017 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Film Preview Committee.

Her following several films were the psychological thriller Ishq Tera (2018), Prakash Electronic (2017), and Happi (2019) before she made her online series debut in 2020. Between 2018 and 2019, she served as the Rangoli program’s temporary host on DD National. She made her digital television debut in 2020 as a journalist in the ZEE5 web series Lalbazaar, a police drama. She next starred in Chargesheet: The Shuttlecock Murder, another ZEE5 serial.

She returned to DD National in 2022 to host the enduring “Rangoli” because to her popularity. For the years 2017, 2018 , and 2022, she served as a member of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) steering committee. Her contribution to the advancement of Indian cinema transcends national film festivals. She was a member of the distinguished Indian group that went to the Venice Film Festival in 2022 to promote India and Indian cinema.

Hrishitaa Bhatt wed senior UN diplomat Anand Tiwari on March 4, 2017, in a discreet ceremony held in Delhi.
