When casting for Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, director Sasi saw photographs of her at Meera Kathiravan’s workplace, where she was working on another project. She was offered a part in the movie as a software engineer by Sasi, who also plays her love interest, Bharath. Her first release was Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu as a result of the delays with her other projects. She made her film debut in Kannada in 2014 with the movie Ninnindale, in which she costarred with Puneeth Rajkumar. Nila Madhab Panda’s Babloo Happy Hai was her first Hindi feature.
Erica Fernandes was chosen to portray the title part in the Tamil movie Virattu, which also stars debutant Sujiv, the director’s son. Eventually, Virattu was made available in February 2014. Her debut Telugu release was Galipatam. Critics gave the movie fair reviews and added that Erica “does a good job” and “shows maturity.” She had an appearance in the Kannada movie Buguri in 2015.
