With choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan, Dhami competed in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 in 2013 and won. Drashti Dhami has also dabbled in web series, appearing in the historical drama The Empire (2021) as Khanzada Begum and the criminal thriller Duranga (2022) on ZEE5, where Drashti Khemka Dhami received the Zed Rishtey Awards for Best Female (Web) Actress.

Dhami was born in Mumbai, where she was a student, on January 10, 1985, into a Gujarati family . Drashti Khemka Dhami went to Mary Immaculate Girl’s High School and Mithibai College in Mumbai, where she earned a sociology degree. Dhami taught dance before she started modeling . Dhami comes from a traditional household. In an interview published in The Times of India, she stated:

I had to ask ten family members, including my closest relatives, for approval before accepting the offer to dance in a music video. My cousin was the one who encouraged me, persuaded everyone, and continues to assist me when I need to make decisions about my profession. So even though it hasn’t been easy for me, I always have my family’s support.”In

In a customary Hindu ceremony, Dhami wed businessman Neeraj Khemka on February 21, 2015. Actress Suhasi Dhami is wed to her older brother Jaisheel Dhami.In Dhami mentioned that her in-laws provide her a lot of support in her professional endeavours.

Drashti Dhami Before making her breakthrough in the entertainment industry with her roles in the music videos for “Saiyyan Dil Mein Aana Re,” “Humko Aaj Kal Hai,” “Teri Meri Nazar Ki Dori,” and “Nachle Soniyo Tu,” Dhami began her career as a model for print and television ads. Drashti Dhami also appeared in commercials for Colgate, Lion Honey, Pulimoottil Silks, Vasan Eyecare, RKS Grand, Amul, VIP Bags, Chevrolet, and Reliance.

Dhami appeared as a guest on the programme Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha in May of 2012. She later starred opposite Vivian Dsena in the lead role of Colours TV’s Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon from 2012 to 2014. Participating in the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 on Colours TV in 2013, Dhami and her choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan emerged as the winners.

Dhami hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 in June 2014. Nevertheless, Manish Paul eventually took her place. Dhami played for the Mumbai Wariors team in the Box Cricket League on Sony TV in December 2014.

She portrayed Nandini, a victim of domestic abuse who falls in love with her best friend’s husband, opposite Shakti Arora in Colours TV’s Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka from June to October 2018.
