Victory, a Kannada film from 2013 that also included Sharan in the main role, marked Sood’s film debut. Next came her Malayalam debut in the anthology 5 Sundarikal, where she played the role of a young Muslim bride, Ami.

Asmita Sood starred as Setu in the 2018 season of Dil Hi Toh Hai on Sony TV, which ran till 2020. She portrayed the antagonist Trishala in the Dangal series Janam Janam Ka Saath, alongside Gaurav S Bajaj, from November 2022 to February 2023.
