Born on January 9, 1982, Anusha Dandekar is an Australian-Indian MTV VJ, actor, and singer. Her most well-known roles are those of host and VJ, having presented multiple shows.
Anusha Dandekar Childhood
On January 9, 1982 , Dandekar was born in Sudan into the Marathi family of Shashidhar and Sulabha Dandekar, who were originally from Pune, India. Growing up in the Sydney suburb of Kingsgrove, New South Wales, she and her sisters, actress and model Shibani Dandekar and model Apeksha Dandekar, were exposed to a life of luxury.
Anusha Dandekar Career
In 2002, Dandekar relocated to Mumbai, Maharashtra, at the age of 19, with the intention of pursuing a career in the entertainment sector. She was chosen to work as an anchor for House of Style on MTV. Afterwards, she worked as a network host for MTV Dance Crew, MTV Teen Diva, MTV News, and MTV Love School.

Anusha Dandekar was the 2008 Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female Awards’ Best VJ winner. In 2014, Dandekar joined model-actress Lisa Haydon as a judge on India’s Next Top Model.
Dandekar made her Bollywood acting debut in Mumbai Matinee in 2003. She later starred with Bollywood heavyweights Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sharmila Tagore, and John Abraham in Viruddh in 2005 . Anusha Dandekar was awarded the Best Debut Award at the 2006 Maharashtra Times Awards for her role in the movie. Later, she became a leading lady in the musical Miss Bollywood. Anusha Dandekar co-starred with Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt in Anthony Kaun Hai? later that year in 2006. Her first Marathi cinema role was in Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha (2012).
Dandekar released her first song, Better Than Your Ex, in 2012. June saw the English-language release of the song. Dandekar is a style star who has been on the covers of Seventeen, Elle, and Cosmopolitan.
Additionally, she has sponsored the labels Lee Jeans, Crocs, Reebok, and Toni & Guy. Anusha Dandekar joined the MTV India series India’s Next Top Model as a mentor in 2017.
