Amrita Bakshi, an Indian actress and model, is better known by her stage name, Amrita Prakash. Amrita Prakash started her acting career at the age of four and has appeared in Malayalam and Bollywood films. Dr. Prakash Bakshi, the chairman of the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development, gave birth to Amrita. Amrita Prakash graduated from The University of Mumbai with a master’s degree in commerce and business administration.
When Amrita was four years old, she began her job in advertising. Her debut television commercial was for a Keralan shoe manufacturer. After then, she appeared in more than fifty advertisements throughout her early years for well-known companies including Dabur, Glucon-D, Ruffles Lays, Rasna, and so on. For more than two years, she adorned the packaging for Lifebuoy Soaps. Amrita Prakash has appeared in advertisements for Sunsilk, Gitts Processed Foods, and other brands more recently.

When she was nine years old, she made her television debut in a drama programme where she played Gautami Gadgil’s niece. Following that, she was able to land her own show when she was seen hosting Fox Kids, a cartoon show on Star Plus, for almost five years. During that time, she became quite well-known for her role as Miss India, especially with young viewers.
Her breakthrough role was in Anubhav Sinha’s 2001 film Tum Bin, in which she portrayed the crucial character Milli. Amrita kept watching TV after Tum Bin. Amrita Bakshi was selected at the age of 14 to participate in Kya Masti Kya Dhoom, India’s first reality show, which she co-anchored for more than two years with Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre.
Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, a Zee TV television drama in which she portrayed a lead role, was her last production. Amrita Prakash starred in Kamal’s Malayalam film Manjupoloru Penkutty in 2004. The protagonist of the tale was a 16-year-old Keralan schoolgirl who rebelled against her stepfather’s sexual abuse. Telugu and Kannada versions of the movie were dubbed and rereleased. The State put Amrita forth as a Best Actress nominee for the National Awards.

Amrita Prakash went on to play Chhoti in Sooraj Barjatya’s Vivah, one of her most iconic performances, for Rajshri Films. Critics praised her performance in Vivaah much. Amrita has been cited numerous times as saying, “One of the biggest turning points and milestones of my career was Vivaah.” I am incredibly appreciative of Sooraj Barjatya for being my mentor and teacher both during and after the movie. and for placing me on every Indian city’s map.”
Amrita portrayed Sandhya in the film Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. Amrita Prakash has a minor role in the film We Are Family by Dharma Productions.
Amrita Prakash started working on Sony Pal’s Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi programme. Amrita Bakshi portrayed Dipika, the show’s main protagonist.
