Aditi Govitrikar is an Indian actress, doctor, and former model who was born on May 21, 1974. In 2001, she became the first Indian woman to win the title of Mrs. World. Govitrikar was the only Indian supermodel to hold a medical doctorate and a psychology degree from 1997 to 2004. Hindustan Times has praised her as “Beauty with Brains”. She practices Vipassana with fervor and is a vegetarian.

Aditi Govitrikar participated in Bigg Boss 3 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 1. Gladrags Megamodel Contest (1996) and Gladrags Mrs. India (2000) were won by Govitrikar, who went on to win the Mrs. World Contest (2001).
She made her acting debut in the smash blockbuster film Thammudu (1999), in which she had a major role. She went on to perform in other films, such as De Dana Dan (2009), which took home an International Indian Film Academy Award, and Paheli (2005), India’s official submission to the 79th Academy Awards.
Additionally, she starred in a number of extremely successful music videos, including those for the songs Kabhi to Nazar Milao (1997) by Adnan Sami and Asha Bhosle and Aaeena (2000) by Jagjit Singh. On May 21, 1974, Govitrikar was born in Panvel, Maharashtra. Aditi Govitrikar enrolled in Panvel’s Barns High School before moving on to Mumbai’s Grant Medical College, where she earned her MBBS in 1997. Govitrikar started modeling after earning her MBBS.

After taking first place in the Gladrags Megamodel Contest in 1996, she began her modeling career. In 1997, she was awarded the Best Face and Best Body trophies at the Asian Super Model Contest. She posed as a model for brands including Pond’s and Kaya Skin Clinic and made appearances in TV ads, notably the hugely successful Coca-Cola commercial she co-starred in with Hrithik Roshan.

Aditi Govitrikar married Muffazal Lakdawala, a Dawoodi Bohra Muslim medical school senior, in spite of early resistance from her parents. The two had dated for more than seven years while she was still in college. In 1998, the pair wed in accordance with both civil and Islamic law, and she assumed the name Sarah Lakdawala. Kiara, their daughter, was born in 1999. In May2007, the couple had a second child.[Reference required] She and Muffazal Lakdawala are divorced.
Arzoo Govitrikar, Govitrikar’s younger sister, is an actress who formerly worked as an electronics engineer. She served as a judge for Kalakarz.
Aditi Govitrikar recently earned a master’s degree in psychology from IGNOU and finished her postgraduate counseling program at Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She is presently enrolled at Harvard University to pursue a second master’s degree in psychology. She has been awarded a Life Membership in the Asian Academy of Film and Television’s International Women’s Film Forum.
