Indian actor and writer Sumeet Vyas was born on July 27, 1983, and has worked in theatre, film, and web series. In TVF’s 2014 web series Permanent Roommates, he played Mikesh Chaudhary, which was his breakthrough role.

Since then, Vyas has acted in supporting parts in other Bollywood movies, such as Veere Di Wedding, Parched, Guddu Ki Gun, and English Vinglish. Sumeet’s career goals in school were to become a computer engineer or a pilot. However, he also loved writing and acting. Later, he decided to pursue the second choice, quitting his college education to work as an assistant editor at a Mumbai editing studio.

With a small part in the Doordarshan drama Woh Huye Na Humare, Vyas made his television debut. Sumeet Vyas subsequently played Kartik in the television series Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein. Since his earliest acting days, he has been actively interested in theatre. Additionally, he played a significant part in Rabindranath Tagore’s TV series Stories.
In 2009, he made his Bollywood debut in the film Jashn. He then acted in the English-language film Vinglish. Sumeet Vyas has contributed to almost 30 films, including Parched, Aurangzeb, Kajarya, and Guddu Ki Gun .

Rather than working in Bollywood, Vyas says he prefers to be a theatre performer and is an ardent supporter of the arts. For seven years, he wed the actress Shivani Tanksale. 2017 saw the couple’s divorce. On September 15, 2018, TV actress Ekta Kaul and he tied the knot. Ved, their son, was born in 2020.
