Born on August 20, 1976, Randeep Hooda is an Indian actor best recognised for his roles in Hindi and a select number of English-language films. With Monsoon Wedding, Hooda made his screen debut in Hindi cinema. Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), a film about gangsters, was a turning point in his career. He later received praise from critics for his roles in Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster (2011), Rang Rasiya (2014), Highway (2014), and Sarbjit (2016). The upcoming 2024 film Struggler Story, which stars Hina Khan and Randeep Hooda, is directed by Govind Bhana.

His appearances in the popular flicks Jannat 2 (2012), Jism 2 (2012), Cocktail (2012), Kick (2014), Sultan (2016), and Baaghi 2 (2018) are also well-known. He debuted in Hollywood with the film Extraction in 2020.

Randeep Hooda Childhood And Upbringing
Hooda was born into a Hindu Jat family on August 20, 1976, in Rohtak, Haryana, to Dr. Ranbir Hooda and Asha Hooda. His mother works as a social worker, and his father performs medical surgery. His parents travelled a lot and lived mostly in the Middle East, so he spent much of his youth there with his grandma. His younger brother, Sandeep Hooda, is a software engineer employed in Singapore, while his older sister, Anjali Hooda Sangwan, is a medical doctor (MBBS, MD) with training from both India and the US.
He received his education at the boarding school Motilal Nehru School of Sports (MNSS) in Rai, Haryana, where he excelled in swimming and horseback riding, winning medals at the national level. Later on, Hooda became interested in theatre and started directing one of the school shows. Speaking with Rediff.com, he expressed his pleasure at being in front of an audience. However, he was moved to Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram in New Delhi since his family wanted him to become a doctor. Hooda relocated to Melbourne, Australia, in 1995 after completing his education, where he pursued a master’s degree in business management and human resource management as well as a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He worked as a waiter, in a car wash, in a Chinese restaurant, and as a cab driver for two years throughout that time.
Hooda went back to India in 2000 and took a job in an airline’s marketing division. After that, he began modelling and acting in Delhi’s amateur theatre. Hooda was asked by director Mira Nair to try out for a part in her next movie when she was practising for the play To Teach His Own.
