Born on January 26, 1986, Navdeep Pallapolu is an Indian actor and television personality who primarily works in Telugu cinema, but also does Tamil and Hindi films. In 2004, he made his feature debut in the sports drama Jai, a nationalistic film.

After placing as a finalist in the first season of the reality TV series Bigg Boss, Navdeep is well-known in the television industry. He was a judge on the comedy show Adhirindi and the host of the game shows Super and Tollywood Squares.

Navdeep has portrayed a variety of characters in Telugu and Tamil motion pictures. In the romantic Telugu film Jai (2004), Navdeep made his screen debut as an Indian boxer against terrorists from Laskar-E-Taiba. The film was a success. He plays a hero who is the son of the don, Prakash Raj, who was separated from his father, in the Tamil blockbuster Arinthum Ariyamalum (2005). Even though he became known as a gifted actor, most of his subsequent films were unmemorable and box office failures.
His breakthrough role came in the 2007 movie Chandamama, in which he costarred alongside Kajal Aggarwal and received critical acclaim for his flirtatious and impure young persona. One of the biggest hits of 2007, the movie brought Navdeep and Kajal a lot of praise. Later, he played the lead opposite Kajal and Allu Arjun in Arya 2, where he was praised for his portrayal of a man with grey shades. Even though Allu Arjun starred in multiple roles, Navdeep was noticeable in this box office success.
Navdeep continued to star in a variety of films from 2010 to 2013, including the thriller Mythri, the romantic drama Aakasame Haddu, the mystery thriller Yagam, the comedy Mugguru, Om Shanti (starring Aditi Sharma, Kajal Aggarwal, and Nikhil Siddharth), and a cameo in Oh My Friend. None of these films were successful box office-wise.

In the hit movie Baadshah (2013), Navdeep portrayed the antagonist opposing Jr. NTR. He starred in the masala film Vasool Raja later that year, which had a significant role for Srihari. The movie did not do well at the box office. Playing opposite Swathi Reddy in the mediocre criminal comedy Bangaru Kodipetta in 2014, he went on to portray the male lead in the supernatural horror film Ice Cream, which became a box office blockbuster.
The “3rd South Indian International Movie Awards” were hosted by him that year as well. Anukshanam was his cameo part, and his following movie, Poga, was a box office failure. He appeared in the Tamil film Idhu Enna Maayam and acted in the critically panned crime drama Bham Bolenath in 2015.
In 2016, Navdeep, along with Allu Sirish and Regina Cassandra, hosted the inaugural IIFA Utsavam Awards. In addition, he had a brief cameo in the Hindi film Azhar and portrayed a significant supporting role in Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film Dhruva. Later, in the 2017 film Nene Raju Nene Mantri, starring Rana Daggubati, he had a significant role. In the 2017 Bigg Boss Telugu reality TV series, he came in fourth. In 2018, he co-starred with Jagapati Babu and Swetha Basu Prasad in the crime drama online series Gangstars.
The television series received favourable reviews and was extensively marketed like a movie. After almost three years in 2018, he returned to the role of hero in the romantic comedy Next Enti, costarring with Tamannaah and Sundeep Kishan, after the newfound popularity of Gangstars. Sadly, this movie was a box office bust. He appeared in a supporting role in the popular action comedy Ala Vaikunthapurramloo (2020), starring Pooja Hegde and Allu Arjun. Navdeep played the major role in the critically acclaimed psychological thriller Run that same year.
In addition to lending his voice to an animated software tutorial on HIV/AIDS education made by the nonprofit TeachAids, he is a fervent supporter of numerous other causes and charities.
On TV
In addition to hosting a few film festivals, Navdeep hosted the Telugu version of Fear Factor, Super. His most famous TV debut was as a wildcard competitor on the well-known reality TV programme Bigg Boss Telugu, where he was praised highly and received a lot of attention for his charm and wit. He came in fourth at the end. Later, he starred in the romantic comedy Mana Mugguri Love Story on Yupp TV, portraying a prosperous, accomplished, and dapper young businessman.
Tejaswi Madivada and Adith Arun appeared in prominent parts in the well-received musical as well. Several celebs attended his own game show, Tollywood Squares, which he began hosting on Star Maa in 2018. The first season of the show consisted of 26 episodes.
