Mrinal Dutt Career
Small parts in South Indian films, such as the 2012 Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega, marked the beginning of Dutt’s acting career. In the Balaji Telefilms-produced teen drama series MTV Webbed, he portrayed the character of Vikrant in 2013. In the series Private Investigator, he landed his first starring role the following year, in 2014. As Raffe Roy Choudhary, Dutt was a teenage college student who assisted Vrajesh Hirjee’s character, a police inspector, in solving crimes. Mrinal Dutt would use his acute observational skills to solve murders.
Following the advise of Sourabh Ratnu, the show’s creator, Dutt visited numerous public locations merely to examine and record people’s behaviours and mannerisms. Dutt had himself modified his persona to appear younger by donning t-shirts and cutting weight through badminton and running. The public had conjectured that his presence on the programme, particularly in the hair department, was modelled after Benedict Cumberbatch; Dutt described it as “just a coincidence, and a good one.”
