Jiiva, an Indian actor and producer, was born Amar Choudary on January 4, 1984. Jiiva primarily works in Tamil cinema, with a small amount of work in Hindi and Malayalam. Jiiva is the youngest child of R. B. Choudary, a film producer. In 1991, he made his acting debut in films that his father had produced.

2003–2008: Beginning and peaking

He starred in S. Shankar’s comedy-drama Nanban (2012), which was a reimagining of the popular Bollywood film 3 Idiots. In the Tamil adaptation, Jiiva played the same character as Sharman Joshi as Sevarkodi Senthil, costarring with Srikanth and Vijay.
