Harsh Mayar is an Indian actor acting in Hindi Bollywood films. For his performance in the 2011 movie I Am Kalam, he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.
Harsh Mayar Career
At the age of eight in 2005, Mayar began his professional career. His parents could not afford the cost of his acting classes, so he enlisted in the Shri Ram Centre in Delhi with the help of his uncle Sunil Kumar. He performed in five or six stage shows during that time. He then held 180 tryouts for acting, dancing, and singing. Harsh Mayar was chosen for the character of Chillar Party[citation needed], but he did not fit the part and declined to work on the movie after breaking his right hand during the performance.

Once he had healed, he received a call for an audition after a few months. After his parents persuaded him to go to the audition, he was chosen to be in the movie I Am Kalam. In 2009, the film was filmed in Rajasthan under the direction of Nila Madhab Panda, who was working with veteran actor Gulshan Grover and comic actor Pitobash Tripathy. August 5, 2011 saw the release of I Am Kalam.
For his role in I Am Kalam, Mayar was the recipient of numerous international honours. Additionally, he was named the best kid artist in the 58th National Film Awards. In 2012, Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid, his next movie, was released. He has worked in Chaarfutiya Chhokare (1 August 2014) with Soha Ali Khan, in a Bollywood thriller film, written and directed by Manish Harishankar Harsh recently starred in the movie Hichki alongside Rani Mukerji.[Reference required]
Harsh Mayar Theatre Musical
Tom Alter and Amit Behl played the key parts in Mayar’s appearance in the Vikas Dwivedi-directed Hindi musical Paighamber.[Reference required] The show features live music and singing, folk music from Chhattisgarh and Haryana, the Karma dance form from Chhattisgarh, and live narration. It is inspired by Kahlil Gibran’s literary classic The Prophet.[Reference required]

In DD National’s Aadha Full, Harsh played the lead role of Adrak. Harsh Mayar started his television career with Channel V India crime series Gumrah: End of Innocence in 2014. Following that, he had an appearance in a 2015 episode of the crime series Tujhse Naaraz Nahin Zindagi on &TV.
Harsh Mayar Short film
Mayar worked as lead in a student film project, Untitled – The Words Left Unsaid, directed by Sachin Aggarwal. In this eight-minute short film, Harsh plays 15-year-old Nitin, a schooboy who stays at home by himself and writes letters to his mother. Makrauli village in the Rohtak District served as the film’s shooting location.[Reference required]
