Early career years and professional debut (2010–2018)
In the Hindi film Isi Life Mein…! (2010), Mehra made his acting debut as Sunil. Then, in the 2012 Hindi film Bittoo Boss, he played Raj.
In 2014, he made his TV debut as Dhruv alongside Shivangi Joshi in Love By Chance. He made an appearance in the show’s penultimate episode in 2015, as Onil Chakravarty alongside Priya Chauhan.

Ayush Mehra played the roles of Aditya and Aarav in Yeh Hai Aashiqui in 2015 and 2016, respectively, opposite Shrishti Ganguly Rindani. Ayush Mehra played Rishabh Bhalla in his debut fiction series, Life Lafde Aur Bandiyan, that same year.
Success and breakthrough (2019–2021)
2019 turned out to be a significant turning point in his career. He began his career with Uri: The Surgical Strike as an assistant director. Subsequently, he debuted on the web as Aditya Joshi opposite Neelima Azeem in Mom and Co.
In the same year, Mehra made appearances in other web series, such as When You Meet Your Ex (where she played Karan opposite Shreya Gupto) and Love On The Rocks (where she played Nikhil). He was Myntra Fashion Superstar’s host as well. Since 2019, Mehra has portrayed Shaurya Singh in Please Find Attached opposite Barkha Singh and Varun in Minus One opposite Aisha Ahmed.
In the 2020 short film Phone Call, he played Dhruv Singh. Alongside Anshul Chauhan and Sarah Hashmi, he played Nishant Singh in Operation MBBS from 2020 to 2021. Ayush Mehra had an appearance as Mehershad in Call My Agent: Bollywood in 2021. Additionally, he starred opposite Shanice Shrestha as Rishab in Life Love Siyaapa.
Current work as of 2022
In the 2022 reel series How To Fall In Love, Mehra played Akash opposite Tanya Maniktala. Then, in the short film Recommended For You, he played Pranav.
Next, Mehra will star opposite Radhika Madan in Kacchey Limbu, his feature debut. The 47th Toronto International Film Festival hosted the movie’s world premiere. In the second season of Minus One, he will also make an appearance.
