Indian actor Avinash Tiwary appears in Hindi motion pictures and television shows. His debut film part was in Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2016), and he started his career with the television series Yudh (2014). In 2016, Avinash made his Bollywood debut in the film Tu Hai Mera Sunday, directed by Milind Dhaimade and starring Barun Sobti and Shahana Goswami. The film centres on the lives of five friends. Avinash tried out for Imtiaz Ali’s love film Laila Majnu in December 2015 and was signed in 2017. Avinash Tiwary played the title character of Qais/Majnu in the film, which is a modern-day version of the traditional Laila and Majnu love tale. Ekta Kapoor provides the funding, and Sajid Ali is the director. He underwent a significant physical makeover for the part, and his portrayal of Majnu was praised by critics for being authentic.

Alongside Karan Tacker, Abhimanyu Singh, Jatin Sarna, Ravi Kishan, and Ashutosh Rana, among others, it made its Netflix debut.
