Born into a Hindu Sindhi family in Mumbai, Shivdasani was the son of Prem and Putli Shivdasani. His mother is a Zoroastrian from Iran. He attended Mumbai’s St. Xavier’s High School (Fort), which is situated on Lokamanya Tilak Marg. Then, he received his diploma from Mumbai’s H. R. College of Commerce. In 2012, he became engaged to Nin Dusanj, a Punjabi living in London who was born and raised there before relocating to Hong Kong to work in the advertising and luxury branding sectors in Asia. At the age of 14 months, Shivdasani was chosen to be the Farex baby (baby food brand), and he went on to feature in numerous TV advertisements. He acted in Mr. India (1987), his first film in Bollywood, and went on to star in more films like Awwal Number, Shahenshah, ChaalBaaz, and Insaniyat. In the 1988 movie “Shahenshah,” he also performed as Inspector Vijaykumar Srivastav’s child character. Amitabh Bachchan would portray the character for the rest of the movie.
1999–2008: Adopt adult roles and achieve Succses
While still enrolled at H.R. College, Shivdasani continued to act in advertisements until he was 19 years old, at which point he received an offer to play the lead opposite Urmila Matondkar in filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s Mast. With the multi-starrer Darna Mana Hai in 2003, Shivdasani experienced significant setbacks despite the film’s critical and commercial success. He played Purab, a young college student with the capacity to halt and move people, and received positive reviews from critics. His biggest hit of the year was the comedy Hungama, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshaye Khanna and rookie Rimi Sen. Footpath, his third and last release of that year, debuted poorly at the box office and starred Emraan Hashmi, Rahul Dev, and Bipasha Basu.
The first two films that Shivdasani released in 2004 were Muskaan, starring Gracy Singh, and Suno Sasurjee, starring Ameesha Patel. The comedy starring Indra Kumar was his third release of that year.
Mr. Ya Miss, starring Antara Mali, and Koi Aap Sa, starring Anita Hassanandani Reddy and Dipannita Sharma, were among Shivdasani’s films released in 2005. Aao Wish Karein and current projects, 2009–present
Shivdasani starred in the first movie made by his production firm, Rising Sun Entertainment, in 2009, Aao Wish Karein. In addition to acting as Mickey, the main character, he co-wrote the script. Shivdasani made an appearance in Acid Factory that same year. 2011 saw Shivdasani portray the lead alongside Priyanka Kothari in the comedy flick Bin Bulaye Baraati.
Aftab and Tusshar Kapoor starred in the third installment of the well-liked series Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, which debuted in January 2016 and was a box office hit. Great Grand Masti, the third edition of the hugely successful Masti series, was published in July of 2016.
In the 2021 financially successful Kannada film Kotigobba 3, he portrayed a police officer.
