Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer Anees Bazmee is well-known for his Hindi film productions.
Anees Bazmee Childhood
Bazmee, who was born into a Gujarati Muslim household of Urdu poet Abdul Hameed ‘Nerang’ Bazmee, started out as a child actor in films such as Kitaab (1977). Later, he worked as an assistant director on Raj Kapoor’s Prem Rog (1982) and later as a screenwriter on Swarg (1990).

Although Bazmee made his feature film debut in 1995 with Hulchul, he gained his first taste of commercial success in 1998 with one of the year’s highest-grossing Bollywood productions, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.

Anees Bazmee received praise for directing the moderately successful romantic thriller Deewangee (2002) and went on to achieve further success and recognition by helming the highest-grossing comedies, such as No Entry (2005), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Ready (2011), Welcome Back (2015), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Naam, the movie he finished in 2004, was supposed to be released in 2022.
