Indian actress Sandhya Mridul can be seen on television and in Bollywood movies. Sandhya Mridul was the first runner-up on the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 2) (2007) and is best known for her roles in the movies Saathiya (2002) and Page 3 (2005).
Sandhya Mridul Childhood
P. R. Mridul and his spouse welcomed Sandhya, better known as “Sandy,” into the world in Mumbai. The family thereafter relocated to New Delhi. She moved out of her family at the age of ten to attend the Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ Public School in Jaipur. Later on, she went to New Delhi’s Mater Dei Convent School. Her older brother Siddharth Mridul, a current Delhi High Court judge, raised her after the death of her lawyer father, who also served as a high court judge, when she was fourteen years old. Sandhya Mridul studied at Delhi’s Lady Sriram College. After completing her post-graduation studies in marketing and mathematics, she worked for KLM as a corporate employee in Mumbai.

When Mridul initially returned to Mumbai, he worked as a marketing executive. Her career began with the well-liked television series Swabhimaan. Subsequent parts in serials such as Hu Ba Hu, Koshish, and Banegi Apni Baat ensued.

Sandhya Mridul has become a favorite in cross-over movies thanks to her adaptability and preference for playing unconventional characters. She demonstrated her talent once more in the unconventional movie Via Darjeeling, where she plays an alcoholic. Regarding her place in the Bollywood acting scene, Mridul states, “I would like to step into the shoes that Smita Patil left behind”.
In Season 2 of the popular dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, she was ranked as the runner-up judge. This ruling caused significant controversy because Mridul was declared the rightful winner by Judge Urmila Matondkar. There have been claims of manipulation and meddling in the selection of Prachi Desai as the show’s victor. Regarding the choice, Mridul stated, “Don’t tell me I lost. You only lose when you lose heart, and I haven’t lost any, as I’ve mentioned previously. Even though I merely missed out on a trophy and money, I still won a lot of people over.”
She was a member of the jury for the 14th Shanghai Television Festival in 2008. She was the festival’s youngest and only other Indian. Sandhya worked on Ragini MMS 2 in 2014, where she shared a kiss with Sunny Leone. In POW Bandhi Yudh Ki (2016), she plays Nazneen Khan, a mother of two who raises them on her own while her husband Imaan Khan (Satyadeep Misra) has been out from combat since the Kargil War.
