Patel, a Gujarati, was born in Bombay in 1974 or 1975. In addition to earning a degree in commerce, he received acting training at the National School of Drama in New Delhi. Rupal Patel is the owner of Panorama Art Theatres, a children’s play theatre company.Radhakrishna Dutta, an actor, is her husband.

Actors’ challenges during their careers (1985–2009)
Patel made the decision to try her luck in Bollywood initially, making her screen debut in the 1985 film Mehak in a small role. Rupal Patel went on to play small roles in various Bollywood films, including Samar (1999), Papeeha (1993), Antarnaad (1991), Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda (1992), and Mammo (1994).Shyam Benegal directed a small number of these films.

Following her time in Bollywood, Patel entered the Hindi television industry in 2001, appearing in Zarina Mehta’s Shagun on Star Plus as Lakhi. She subsequently appeared in a few episodes of the well-known crime thriller series Crime Patrol on Sony Entertainment Television after being cast as Aashalata in Sau Dada Sasuna in 2002.
Her acting career remained troubled, and in 2009, after a long hiatus, she played Vrinda in the Cinevistaas Limited production Jaane Kya Baat Hui on Colours TV.
Optimal achievement (2010–present)
Between 2010 and 2017, Patel experienced immense fame and gratitude for her legendary role as the rigid Kokila Modi in Rashmi Sharma’s popular soap opera Saath Nibhaana Saathiya on Star Plus.
She agreed to make a brief appearance as Usha/Kubarjra in Prateek Sharma’s Manmohini on Zed TV in January 2019. She played Meenakshi Rajvansh Kapadia’s grey character in the Star Plus series Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, directed by Kut Productions, from March 2019 until October 2020.
In October 2020, Patel returned to her role as Kokila Modi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, the second season that took the place of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Since it was an initial segment, she appeared in 31 episodes of the show. She made a guest appearance on Gangs of Filmistaan.
Other works
Patel works for and is an ambassador for the Swachh Bharat India initiative; Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recognised her twice for her contributions.
