Born on December 4, 1962, Syed Jaaved Ahmed Jaffrey is an Indian actor, comedian, and dancer who has made appearances in Hindi films and television programmes. Jaaved Jaaferi is Jagdeep, the comedian’s son. In March of 2014, he became a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and ran in the Lucknow constituency of the 2014 Indian general election, coming in fifth.

Additionally, he has been the host of Once Again, a comedy-style discussion series about Bollywood films from the 1970s to the 1990s, on the Epic channel since 2015. Jaffrey has been granted a lifetime membership of the Asian Academy of Film & Television’s International Film and Television Club. Additionally, he served as the festival’s brand ambassador for the inaugural India International Animation and Cartoon Film in 2015.
It was in the 1985 film Meri Jung that he had his first chance to play a villain and display his dancing abilities. Jaaved Jaaferi was able to carve out a position for himself in the comedy industry with the introduction of cable TV, especially Channel [V] and its irreverent sense of humour.He was referred to as “TVdom’s first real superstar” .

Jaffrey ran for the Aam Aadmi Party in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Lucknow, but Rajnath Singh of the BJP defeated him. He had received 41,429 votes, placing him fifth in the constituency.
