Indian actor Jim Sarbh was born on August 27, 1987, and is well-known for his roles in both theatre and movie plays. Jim Sarbh is nominated for an International Emmy Award and has won other honours, including the Filmfare OTT Award and an IIFA Award. Jim Sarbh was born into a Parsi Zoroastrian family on August 27, 1987, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. His father is the Regional Director of P&O Ports South and Middle East Asia and a former master mariner. His mother is a retired physiotherapist. When Sarbh was three years old, his family left India for Australia.

They returned to Bombay when he was eight years old, and he attended the American School of Bombay in Bandra, West Mumbai, after attending Bombay International School in South Mumbai. Hindi film debut and theatre roles (2009–2016)
Sarbh served as a literary intern for a year at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta following his graduation from Emory University. In 2009, he appeared in several plays throughout Atlanta, including The Show!, The Breakup, Tennis in Nablus, and Ice Glen.

For the latter performance, he was honoured with a Major Supporting performance Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Award. In 2012, Sarbh returned to Mumbai and started participating in regional theatrical plays. Many pundits took notice of his portrayal of Happy Loman in Alyque Padamsee’s 2013 staging of Death of a Salesman.
Extended cinematic career (2017–current)
In 2017, Sarbh starred in two Bollywood films: the romantic drama Raabta and the suspense thriller A Death in the Gunj. The production had screenings at a number of European film festivals. Jim Sarbh starred with Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic romance Padmaavat (2018) in the character of Malik Kafur.
