Jammwal, Vidyut Dev Singh (born December 12 , 1980) is an Indian actor, stuntman, and producer who specializes in Hindi cinema. In addition, he practices Kalaripayattu His appearances in the Commando film series have made him most famous.

Vidyut Jammwal has won multiple honors, including a Filmfare Award. Vidyut Jammwal debuted in negative parts in Sakthi in Telugu, Force in Hindi, and Billa II in Tamil. In the popular movie Commando, he played his first leading role. Later on, he made appearances in a number of movies, such as Sanak, Thuppakki, Anjaan, Baadshaho, Commando 2, Junglee, Yaara, and Commando 3.

Beginning of a career, modeling, and recognition (2005–12; 2011–12)
In 2011, Jammwal made his Bollywood debut in the remake of the Tamil classic Kaakha Kaakha, Force, starring John Abraham. Vidyut Dev Singh received numerous best debut honors, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, despite having a bad role in the movie.

In 2011 Jammwal appeared in supporting roles in the Telugu films Shakti and Oosaravelli, which starred NTR. Jammwal received praise from critics for his performance in Billa II (2012), a Tamil film in which he played Ajith Kumar’s antagonist. Vidyut Dev Singh starred opposite actor Vijay in the movie Thuppakki that same year, playing the antagonist. For the movie, he was also honored with a SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role.
A turning point in the success of my acting career (from 2013 onward)
Later, Jammwal played the lead role in the Hindi-language movie Commando, delivering action scenes based on actual battle without the use of stuntmen. The movie made its international premiere at the Fantasia Film Fest in Montreal in July 2013 . It then screened in September 2013 at the Fantastic Fest in Texas. International media and action filmmakers praised him, referring to him as India’s Bruce Lee and Tony Jaa.
Vidyut Dev Singh portrayed a sniper police officer in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja following the triumph of Commando. Vidyut Dev Singh costarred with Suriya in a supporting role in the Tamil movie Anjaan in 2014. 2019 saw Jammwal feature in Junglee, the first Bollywood film directed by American Chuck Russell, and Commando 3. In the latter, he made a comeback to the Commando series, and it went on to become the franchise’s biggest hit. Yaara by Tigmanshu Dhulia, an approved remake of the French film Les Lyonnais, was his next endeavor.
Vidyut signed on for three films, including Yaara. The other two were big-budget productions directed by Ram Madhvani, which had a vibe akin to the Hollywood blockbuster 300. starred in the real-life event-inspired action thriller Khuda Haafiz in 2020. The film achieved his greatest opening ever , and the same leads were announced for the sequel, Khuda Haafiz Chapter II. In the film Sanak, he also portrayed the title character.
Jammwal has also appeared on several lists of well-known magazines in the media. In 2012 and 2013, he was listed as one of India’s Top 10 Most Desirable Men by The Times of India. In 2011 and 2012, Men’s Health included him to their List of Best Bodies and Top 5 Fittest Men, respectively. Vidyut Dev Singh was included in People Magazine India’s 2012 list of The Sexiest Men Alive. Along with Kangana Ranaut, he was named PETA’s Hottest Vegetarian in 2014. Vidyut Dev Singh was named one of the “Top 6 Martial Artists Around the World” in 2018.

Vidyut Jamwal confirmed his engagement to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani on September 1, 2021.38 Mahtani and Jammwal called it quits on their engagement in 2023.
