Born on September 5, 1976, Pankaj Tripathi is an Indian actor who primarily appears in Hindi films. Among the many honours he has received are two National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. Tripathi got small roles in films like Omkara (2006), Raavan (2010), and Agneepath (2012), and a supporting part in the TV show Powder (2010) after studying acting at the National School of Drama.

Tripathi was the youngest of four children born to Pandit Benares Tiwari and Hemwanti Tiwari, in Belsand village, Barauli, in the Gopalganj District of the Indian state of Bihar. She was born on September 5, possibly in 1975.
In addition to farming, his father was a Hindu priest. When he was in the ninth grade, Tripathi legally changed his last name from Tiwari to Tripathi.
